GTA 6 PC System Requirements: Expected Minimum and Recommended

Jun 22, 2026·5 min read

Although Rockstar has not announced a PC release date or official system requirements, we can project realistic specs based on the studio's last three PC ports (GTA V Enhanced, RDR2 PC, and the GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition).

Expected minimum requirements

Intel Core i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 5 2600, 16GB RAM, Nvidia GTX 1660 Super / AMD RX 5600 XT, 150GB SSD. Targeting 1080p/30fps with low settings and no ray tracing.

Expected recommended specs

Intel Core i7-12700 / AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, 32GB RAM, Nvidia RTX 4070 / AMD RX 7800 XT, 150GB NVMe SSD. Targeting 1440p/60fps with high settings and partial ray tracing.

Expected ultra/high-end specs

Intel Core i9-14900K / AMD Ryzen 9 7950X, 32GB RAM, Nvidia RTX 5080+ / AMD RX 9070 XT, 200GB NVMe SSD. Targeting 4K/60fps with maxed ray tracing and DLSS/FSR upscaling.

Storage and install size

Expect a 150-200 GB install on PC, larger than the console version due to higher-resolution textures. SSD will be effectively mandatory — HDD installs will produce stutters and pop-in.

Frequently asked

When will PC system requirements be officially announced?
Typically Rockstar announces PC specs 4-8 weeks before the PC release. Don't expect them before mid-2027.
Can my PC run GTA 6?
If you can run RDR2 at 1440p/60fps, you'll likely run GTA 6 at 1080p/60fps. Anything weaker will struggle.
