GTA 6 Mount Kalaga: The Wilderness Region Explained
Mount Kalaga National Park is Leonida's elevated, forested wilderness in the north of the state. Lakes, rivers, mountain terrain and dangerous wildlife make it the closest thing GTA 6 has to RDR2's Ambarino region.
Terrain and biome
Pine-forested mountains, glacial lakes, mountain rivers and high-altitude meadows. Snow is rumored to appear at the highest peaks during winter months in the in-game weather cycle.
Activities and gameplay loops
Hiking trails, ranger stations, fishing lodges and hunting cabins. Expect survival-flavored gameplay similar to RDR2 — campfire cooking, animal tracking, and weather hazards like flash storms.
Dangerous wildlife
Bears, mountain lions, wolves and stags are all rumored. Unlike Grassrivers' alligators, Mount Kalaga wildlife is more about hunting and tracking than ambush combat.
Role in the storyline
Likely the setting for survival missions, isolated hideouts and possibly a militia subplot. Less mainstream than Vice City, but a high-density side-mission hub.
